Best way to make 300 to 350whp with an evo 8?

So im looking to put some more power into my '03 evo, it currently made 227 on a mustang dyno, so looking to up that number. Im looking for some advice on what mods I should do to my car to make over 300 whp if I were to take it to be tuned at stm. It is my daily driver for summers so I would like to do modifications that would keep the reliability of my car, but with just some more horsepower. If anyone could give me a recommended parts list or point me in the right direction that'd be great. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, was just hoping for some personalized responses, and maybe a place where I could ask a few more questions to responses instead of responding to 7 year old posts

Higher boost and a good tune is what makes the power as boost goes up your injection, pump timing, clutch, etc can't keep up so you gotta upgrade to be able to achieve that desired "boost" . Best thing you can do is talk to your tuner.

Ok, I offer some advice and not be so harsh then. If you are looking for reliability due to it being your daily driver then do full bolt ons. You may also want to look into a 9 turbo as well. I have no idea what the current goint rate for them is. I would do a turbo back exhaust, intake, intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, o2 housing, upper and lower intercooler pipe, metal DV valve if you still have the stock plastic one, cams, and a tune. That would take care of all the basic mods and leave you with the power goals you are after. After that you can stll upgrade without going to a built bottom end, things like ported intake mani, exh mani, and 65mm throttle body.

I have what most would consider basic bolt-ons.
Intake, downpipe, high flow cat, cat-back exhaust, IC+piping, aftermarket BOV, Walbro 255, and a tune.
I chose GSC S1 cams specifically for their street ability, but I'm pretty picky about that word.
Everything else is stock. I'm currently sitting at 300/300 at the wheels on a MD Dyno.
Let me know if I can help in any other way.

Evo 9 turbo
Gsc s2
E85
Head studs
Gsc beehive springs
Injectors
Turbo back exhaust

Can make 370 hp and 350 torque.

Can have all these parts pretty cheap if you buy used and piece it together.

I just recently put together a car for my cousin.

Evo 9 turbo
Gsc s3
Arp head studs
Gsc beehives
Fic 1450 injectors
Open dump 02 housing

Car laid down 371 hp and 349 torque and those are heart break dyno numbers.

The gsc s3 is said to be for big turbos. He may have lost some spool but that isnt noticeable in the 9 turbo since it spools like a supercharger. He gained top end though. Its a lose some win some deal.

Is that on pump gas?

If that is on pump gas then that is impressive, put some E-85 in the mix.

Thanks for all the responses, I do live in New York so the emissions here is pretty strict, so catless downpipe would be a challenge but I do have a friend who will be able to pass me. I did get my car off a salvage auction and it does have some stuff done to it already, and I do think it has an evo 9 turbo on it, just have to confirm it one of these days. Might already have some of the work cut out for me. Do not have e85 stations but do have 93. Will definately put together some parts. Definately seems like downpipe, licp, injectors, cams, fuel pump, exhaust work (which my car already has some done to), head studs and a tune are my best bet. Any recommendations on brands that I should go for/ stay away from?

Injen intake
Injen IC piping
ETS fmic
Greddy Catback w/resonator
Greddy catted downpipe
272 cams
Boost controller
255lph fuel pump
Stock testpipe
650cc injectors
Megan exhaust manifold
Stock turbo, (9 turbo though).

Stock head, stock internals.

Made 372/370 on 93oct.

Also this setup is extremely quiet and passed emissions. Cams sounded great too.

It really doesn't take much to make 300+ on these cars.

Honestly a boost controller and fuel pump upgrade + good tune should have you in the 300s.
