Evo 8 Cambelt

Hi all hope your having a great day. I have a quick question I've had my 2004 Evo 8 GSR 260 for 10 years now its just turned 50,000 miles/80,000 kilometres, it is totally original from new and never been modified. Are the cambelts prone to snapping it's never had a replacement since new?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would wait until you do the 60K and have it all done at the same time.

My service info states: every 90 000 km / 6 years.
If the belt is 13 years old I would replace it.

If the belt doesn't snap you've managed to put off an expensive annoyance for 1 more year. If it does snap you've done some serious engine damage. I suggest the economics say do it now.

change it ASAP, from what I have seen the vast majority of 4G63 death is timing belt related.
