Evo Comparisons
Well i've raced a local WS6(??), the firebird with the 5.7L V-8, i believe thats right... correct if i'm wrong. I know they are supposed to be a fast car and everytime i've raced this car there is no gaining or losing ground.
It's as if we are just equally matched. The last time i raced them i did start gaining ground in fourth gear but barely and then we ran out of room. I'm sure he'd win in the end as he's a six speed but for now i'd like to know this:
Have any evo'd raced these cars and how'd you do? I'd just like to see a comparison on how these cars rank and how well compared to the evo's i'm doing. Thanks

You kept even with a WS6? Man the guy must notbe able to drive, and Im not trying to talk crap about your statement. My friend has a Firehawk, which is basically the WS-6 with a few other mods, and those cars run 12.9s stock, with a 0-60 very close to the magic 4.9 seconds. I am almost positive the WS6 is not much slower, which is why even with your amount of mods I cant see you keeping up with one.....

There's no way you kept up with him.....much less "start gaining ground in fourth gear".
Those cars are no joke, seriously. Even a turbo Lancer doesn't stand a chance.
What are your mods? HP numbers? It might have been a dressed-up V6..............

Agreed. But we're talking about a turbo Lancer here, not an EVO.

I have an SS and an Evo, and i can tell you that i raced my friend's WRX and i pulled him by the same in both cars. I think stock, the SS will pull harder in a drag race from a roll, but from the line a stock evo will win. Just my opinion.
Plus, the Evo makes my SS feel like a pickup truck when it comes to handling

Well on the way to the track a few nights ago my friend in his c5 vette and I both passed a car and I was able to stay right on his *** and he was WOT, I thought this was because I had my utec in but later realized that it was set to my stock map (oops).

Yeah no nitrous from factory maybe when they sent the trans am to slp engineering ( thats when they make it an ws6) it wight have been an option, but yeah I am going to say no to the nitrous from factory thing.
Have you guys seen the best motoring video titled 996 the king? It has a race between an evo 7rs, gtr, 911 tt, modena, nsx type s and a vette and evo killed the modena nsx and the vette and was able to stay right on the bumber of the gtr which was in return stuck to the 911
