Possible IX Purchase
Hi, Everyone
I am possibly looking at getting an Evo. This might sound crazy, but I bought an 18 STi a month ago, and I might get rid of it for the Evo. I have always loved the Evo, and I keep leaning towards it.
However, I want to ask a few questions. First, this would be a daily driver, and I am fine with that. I have been in many, and it does not bother me. The car is an MR, one owner with 34k miles. All stock besides coilovers.
My question is, how is parts availability for these? It honestly will probably stay stock, as I am just that type of person. I am more concerned about parts down the road. Mainly OEM stuff. If I need a fuel pump, or window switch, or something mechanical for the car. Will I be able to purchase them new?
Anyhow, I appreciate any feedback!
THanks, guys!

I have never had a problem getting a part I needed. Either new or used when desired. A real consideration though is do you have access to a reputable shop that can work on the car? You will definitely want to have a P.P.I (pre purchase inspection) performed on any Evo before you buy it by a trusted 3rd party.

Contact a 3rd party local to the car and arrange for it to be inspected.

They are good, AWD and ACD, ABS(Unless RS), but if you really want the full package of AWD,ACD,AYC, Active brake control and Stability management etc then you should probably look into the Evo X, it came with S-AWC (Super all wheel control) and has a computer that allows it to do things a human driving just can't.
