I wouldn't say that they are bigger per se. I have both JDM and USDM front seats and the USDM seat is definitely all-around wider.

Yep. ACD showed up in the US in the 05 Evo VIII

Never realized the sprayer was only on the VIII's. Removed mine early on since it had little effect on performance and added a ton of weight to the very front of the car. IIRC a few people used the switch to change between fuel modes (E-85 vs. 100 Octane vs. 91 for example)

There are threads that talk about the effectiveness of the system and the gains are minimal (mostly non-existent). Most people just remove it when they upgrade their intercooler.

04's did have them, i do have an 04 with the intercooler sprayer, 05 is the year that the 8's got the ayc pump.
