Evo IX RS Window crank issue

Hey guys. Since buying the car, I've noticed that my Evo IX RS makes a clicking noise only when rolling down the drivers side window. It does not do it when rolling up the window. There is no difference in pressure or feel between rolling up versus rolling down. A previous owner installed a radio and speakers in the car, but were faulty. I had new speakers installed and the person who performed the speaker install stated that there was no difference between driver side and passenger side doors and couldn't explain the reason for the clicking noise. Anyone ever experience this before? I'll try and get a video of it when I get off work later tonight.

Lowering / raising the window, and also weight reduction

When i accidentally stumbled upon the RS, 10 years ago, at the dealership I was hooked (no trunk lining, crank windows, no ABS & no wing).

Still love the RS for its simplicity and super RAW driver feedback

The door panel is really simple to remove.

See link: Door panel removal

I would suggest taking it off and try rolling the window to see where the noise is coming from. May just need adjustment.

Also, forgot to mention. The noise sounds like it is coming from the handle or the immediate area around the handle.

its just funny...
when i read the post, and it said "rolling down the window"...
it almost took me a minute to realize what that meant.

RS's are awesome cars...

but honestly, i probably haven't "rolled" a window down in 20 years.

I took my 11 year old daughters out in my RS last night. They asked me to roll down their window thinking I had the switches on my door since they couldn't find them.
I told them to turn the handle in a circle and they thought it was so cool. They said this is so much easier to open it where we want it. I should have told them its new tech and they need to download the window app...

Heres a video of the noise and where its coming from. It appears the two bolts in the door are tightened to hell and theyre starting to strip so I stopped

Does it appear someone has had their hand on these bolts prior? Can you fix it?

They looked brand new, matching the other bolts on the door. Its not stripped completely only in the very early process so i stopped to not further damage it.
