Front bumper tab broken

Hey everyone,

So just recently my passenger side front bumper tab has completely cracked off and broken off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (Ignore all the red)

Yep, very common problem w/those of us who have removed the front cover many times

I would recommend this quick release: http://www.ging3r.com/mitsubishi/evo...se-bumper-kit/

There are other kits to consider for less $$ (Ebay has them as well)

Thanks! Do you know if there any other solution that dont involve a quick release? I tried ziptips, but didnt work... I dont know if its just me, but not a big fan of the quick release look although its so much more convenient If not, i guess ill do that.

Yeah, there are always other ways. Would take some thinking in regards to re-creating that tab

The push button is clean & youre only modding the front cover which has already taken some hits

When i was tracking regularly i went with the full exterior racing latch (at the time i was in full track mode & did not care too much about style points)

That quick release Joe linked is the nicest one out. Nothing goes on the fender, no huge donkey looking rubber band. Nothing to it really, just an anodized little aluminum thing. Get black and you'll hardly know it's there.

Other then a QR, your pretty much need to replace the bumper cover...

Those are just for the sides? Then use is the factory bolts and clips under the the hood?

Yes, these are just for the sides. You still use the standard OEM fasteners in the front grill area & the 2 bolts directly under the grill

There is a company that makes a quick disconnect for the front but dont think you need that

I followed this video to repair a broken front bumper tab on a friends car two years ago. Held up really well.

I have a decent amount of product leftover, hit me up by PM if you want to give it a shot, I can just mail you a couple of the cartridges to save on cost.
