How Much is My Evo Worth?

Hello,
Im in a bit of a bind, i would like not to cut my losses or sell my car but i need to know what i am looking at if i do. I have a 2003 Evolution 8 5 Speed. My transmission recently is starting to go out as well my drive shaft and a turbo leak. i am considering costs of fixing my car or selling as is.

Vehicle is Salvage due to hit in the front.
it has about 160K miles.
upgraded recaro evo 9 bucket seats.
full voltex body kit as well as carbon diffuser and voltex wing. Cabon Paint matched hood
Engine wise is basically stock just a intake and upgraded walbro gas pump. never been on dyno.
basic wheels. body will need some work not to much maybe just a new paint.

SO my main question i guess is , is my car worth enough to repair or should i just sell as is. if is pent more on fixing the car than what is worth then it would not make sence for me.

any suggestions?

Any car hobby is not a profit center, so all that we do to these cars is an expenditure vs an investment

Really depends on your situation. Can you keep the EvO as a weekender only? Do you still get enjoyment out of the EvO?

Do you have the avail funds to correct the issues? (rebuilt / new motor, rebuilt front & rear diff etc)

EvO prices, im guessing, will continue to appreciate somewhat. I bought my EvO 10 years ago for $22K & its worth almost that much now (10 years later & 30K more miles)

Hope i make some sense

Yeah i hear you, tbh i have the funds just dont know if it be a right choice. i originally bought the car as a daily stock. and overtime added to it. i have a "weekend car" that would be a supra 1998 that i have neglected due to fixinf minor issue to big issues with my evo. and im in the same situation again. i guess what im tryna figure out if its worth the fix.....

Now i understand more. To me the EvO is not a DD, at least in my case. You have a choice, whether to build that Supra or build the EvO as your weekend ride

Man can only have so many projects before it wears him out

Not exactly sure what the recipe is for pricing, but in layman's terms, Maybe a Kelly Blue book price plus a few percentage points (i.e. KBB shows a 2003 at approx 9K to 11K)

Maybe the real street value is approx $12-14K? But you have some deducts (salvage, trans etc)

They way I see it is what is the going price for the car in good condition at that mileage then minus the repair cost and transfer cost and that would be what I would offer for it. If someone is going to rock up and buy it they'll treat it as a project car and want it cheap cause of repairs

Salvage title
160k miles
bad transmission
turbo blown
driveshaft needing service
possibly needs a paint job

You'd be lucky to get 10k
