anybody making over 500whp with aem ems
i just bought a 3037s and not shure witch stand alone to buyanybody making over 500whp with aem ems??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????
I think AMS used AEM EMS to get 551 WHP, possibly they used UTEC. But yeah, I would say AEM EMS is 99% used for getting big power. UTEC is looking to take number one though

Re: anybody making over 500whp with aem ems
what's up man
not selling the car anymore?
hey jason al is using the aem and he is making some big numbers
i believe buschur is using the aem also.
well i just got my aem installed this week and i felt big power gains, i am not making anywhere near 500whp (not yet)
after getting the aem tuned i made 358whp and 356tq on pump gas
the car pulls like a mad man
i made it down to the track that day 12.3 @111mph
the aem is a nice setup i just have to play with the cold start problem.
the utec is a nice choice also i heard ams made like 5ish on the utec ( i could be wrong)

The EMS ignition issues were resolved in a recent firmware update.
You should probably go with what you or your tuner is comfortable with in order to get maximum performance out of the engine. The AEM is definitely capable of handling 500+hp, but if you don't have the experience using it, there will be a huge learning curve.
EVOMIZ, I'm working on my cold start as well. One I have that ironed out, I'll try and get you the my map so you can alter as needed.

Look at the guys out there making BIG power...
AL
AMS
Boost Solutions
Buschur
What do they all have in common?
AEM EMS.
Its the way Im going, and yes, all the ignition problems have been fixed. Also, the more people that go AEM, the more maps will be available, so soon enough there will be "drop in" maps ready for your Evo no matter what state of tune.
Best of Luck...

I went with the AEM as well, power is smooth and idle almost like stock with cams. I'm not at 500 whp yet, I need an upgraded turbo, but there should be no issues making that power with supporting mods.
