Hey recently i fix my evo because the engine light came on. i switch the egr solenoid and the engine light went away. But now the car idles like i have cams on it now. my car is stock only. so idk whats wrong with it but it idles like it has cam n seems like the car wants to die. so i was wondering if u guy can give me some tip about what i should do or check. please help a brother out. What was the CEL no.?

Did you clear the code from the ECU?

Is there a active CEL now?

 

I actually didnt clear it on the ecu.. I drove it for 4 days n it clear on own.. btw what is CEL?.. I change the egr solenoid and egr valve.. after driving it a few days later it just started to sound like I got cams.

 

CEL = Check Engine Light (sorry, we tend to talk in code here on the boards)

 

Isn't it Service Engine Soon (SES)?
Do you know if your new EGR is working properly?

 

Check and see if the hoses popped off the egr valve.

 

It should be working because I bought it brand new
