What evo to get

Hey guys, I’m fairly new to cars and I’m looking for my first real Project to be an evo, problem is idk wether to get an VIII, IX, or a X. I’ve heard that the VIII would be best for me just because it’s older and a bit simpler, because I’m fairly new. But I’d like to get as many opinions as possible. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Hello and welcome

Read some of the stickies which will help you w/the model type info

Im a 9 owner but owning an 8 or even a 10 would be OK as well. The 10 certainly has some advantages & disadvantages depending on what youre looking to get into

I feel X's are harder to work on. Exhaust against the firewall makes modifying tough because it's tight and their turbos and manifolds seem to crack prematurely.

since its going to be your daily driver, i would also assume you are not going to mod the heck out of it...

just a day to day car... i would say the X is a better car.
has cruise control. rides a little better. little nicer inside.

just my opinion.
