If you just paid new car money for a 2019 STi you are going to get mildly crushed trying to sell it.
If you're not autoxing, tracking, building for 500 whp, etc.. I would stick with the car you have. I've driven a few STis, we've had a 2008 in the family, and I've owned two WRXs.. the Evo is definitely a better, more direct driving experience but I don't know if I'd daily one. At bolt-on power levels the Subarus are fine.
I bought a low mileage FoST and let someone else take the depreciation hit.. it's a great DD, great pair with the Evo (it has heated seats, Android auto, etc). You can buy the early ones pretty cheap nowadays if you're looking for a DD to pair with a VIII/IX.
