What's this Part?

Hi,

I'm wondering what this part is, and if it can be deleted.

I'm considering doing a Exhaust Manifold replacement to get rid of the old rusty one, and I think this is the only part stopping me doing so.

Hrmmmm - some searching looks like this part might be for SAS/Factory Anti-Lag like you mentioned and possibly related to the EGR.

I do wonder if it would be more beneficial to keep it?
Or if there are replacement manifolds for Stock Placement & Frame Turbo's that keep it.

I'm new to Evo's in general, so please correct me if I'm wrong here.

This is correct, that's part of the anti-lag system installed on non-US cars. these forums will be limited in the info regarding that as they're generally centered around the US market

Alex from Sheepey is possibly going to make a custom manifold for this, however I need some information.
I'm hoping someone has the correct thread pitch for the Banjo Bolt used for SAS into the Manifold.

As per the diagram above it's Part Number: 12397, OEM: MR312702

Some previous threads on here mention it being a 24mm head with possibly being M16x1.5, however I'm not sure if those measurements are correct.
