Hey guys, as the title suggests im trying to learn more about my evo 8 mr fq300. Im trying to figure out what the stock air filter is. From looking at the part list it is meant to have a HKS panel filter. From all the photos ive seen of their engine bays everyone has a green HKS mushroom filter which is what sits in my engine bay.
I thought the HKS filter was a panel filter for the original e8 airbox, so ive purchased a second hand airbox and attempted to fit it today. I found that due to the stock HKS intercooler pipes the airbox doesnt really fit...

anyone with any knowledge on the evo 8 mr fq300 cars? Or if HKS panel filters are infact the mushroom filters?
