Team orange body kit

Hello all,

i recently traded my 14’ X for this Evo 9. It has a body kit from team orange, apparently it’s the only one in the US(I don’t care to verify lol). I love the wide look of the car but am considering going more for a stock look. I’ll post pics and see if anyone would be down to trade. Front bumper, skirts, flares and read bumper.

Not so fast. Make sure the quarters aren't cut before you start removing things. I bet there was some metal removed to make room for those huge-looking wheels.

Well this is the first time I heard of this kit. Some searching brings up the Team Orange Evo and the company that makes this kit. Apparently, its called the M Sports Aero Wide body kit.

Here are pictures of the kit from another Evo for reference.

Yeah, as noted, you are stuck w/a body kit (you can likely go w/a less proud rear kit) The rears were likely cut & you would be in an unpleasant surprise if you removed the rears w/out a less proud replacement.

The front can be removed, and go w/a less aggressive fender

Removing the rear tire & w/a flashlight will likely reveal some of what was done

Don’t get me wrong I love the wide body, but something about a stock body evo just does it for me. I love that this kit is unique and uncommon. Car is super clean, makes 500 on pump. Has 52k miles only. Built buschur engine, FP black, shep trans, KW v3’s, too many parts to list. I had an 05 ssl, then got the 14’ X and owned it for 5 years..I HAD to go back to a Ct9a. The x is a cool car but it just doesn’t compare to the 8/9. I liked it, but never had any love for it. Always tried to convince myself it was the better car(it wasn’t). Just sitting back in a 8/9 made me happy again. Glad to be back guys. Ps- in not hating on the X or anyone that has one.

From what I DO see on the rear quarters is some type of adhesive I wanna say attaching it to the car. Is that normal? And yeah...the wheels. I’m trying to run 18’s not these massive 19’s that are on it with rubber bands for tires.

Looks like you're missing the rear door piece. As it sits that's a really harsh line on the rear quarter that i'm personally not a fan of. As has been mentioned, there is probably some irreversible work that was done to accommodate those rear quarter flares. It might be more work than its worth to take it back to stock....have a look and see if the wheel wells have been cut.

yeah, not a fan of that part either to be honest.

I just edited my post as I realized selling the car is a little over the top since its in such good condition.

yeah i literally just got it Saturday lol. I wasn’t going to buy it. I went to look at it assuming it wouldn’t be that nice but I got there and I can’t lie the car is very well put together and in very good condition with great parts. Paint is very nice. If it’s irreversible than so be it it will sit like this.
