Hey guys glad to be here at this point, Just here for all the info and show what I have.
I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant 4g64 that blew a balance shaft bearing off the actual shaft TWICE so I had gone the route to replace with the balance shaft delete kit.
So I break everything down off the block and flip the block upside down on the engine stand and see the bearings are toasted and nice sized chunks of metal in the block..
So now its going to the machine shop.
I visited the local junkyard the very next day before work and happen to find the complete kia head and outlander manifold and TB so my brother helped me tear everything off in a hour or so and ended up getting a nice deal for everything, My total was $107
Everything will be cleaned or sent out to the machine shop. Im looking to turbo so thats next on the list to get, with a fuel rail and injectors, adjustable cam gears, Fpr. After said and done Im just trying to decide what to get to hold up for the boost. Ill be doing a lot of research here, and appreciate all the ”sticky threads” you have here. Its helps a lot.
