How much hp can a stock 9 block handle?

 

Its basically a chunk of iron ingot cast into a 4g63 with a closed deck design. It will handle more power than youl ever throw at it. Assuming you mean just the block cast itself and not the internals. probably could handle 1500+ hp. crank is forged, can probably handle 900-1000hp and the stock forged rods, cast pistons peak at about 500 hp. These numbers are just what i have seen and so many other things come into play. Tune, turbo, fuel ect...

 

It's 2020 and this question still gets asked.

 

The question is a bit unclear to me:

• Referring to a OE assembled short block?
• Referring to a bare stock block?
