oil temp sensor for OEM gauges

hello. apologies if this is the wrong location...
im trying to install the oem gauges (volt, oil temp, boost) back into the car. (evo 9 MR)
unfortuantely the car came with them torn out.

i need the sensor that reads the oil temp. i've read on here that it only comes with the gauges, and you can't buy the sensor otherwise.
since the gauges aren't sold anymore.. there has to be some other solution to this.. i mean.. parts break.. so there has to be some other way?
or are people just rolling around with a broken gauge? hehe

thanks in advance...

It looks like this is a lost cause.
What a **** show. You'd think aftermarket would have a solution...

Aftermarket gauges are going to be better anyway. No reason for them to make an aftermarket sensor for a specific car. I assume you couldn't find one through Mitsubishi...? Probably not something easy to find, if they did stock them.
years ago, I sold a set of gauges with the sensor. I got a premium price and they sold in 10mins. hard to make use of, without that sensor.

It was 6yrs ago, so not sure. I just remember being caught up in a bidding war LOL. Two people trying to put their cars back to stock. I was lucky.

I had some one send me a link for a sensor very close to OEM to replace the one that goes bad, since its common. I'll try and find it.
