EVO 1 Axle interchange????????????

I need a replacement axle for my 1993 evo 1. Will any other axles work from any other cars? Eclipse, galant etc??????? I'm from the states so I'm having a hard time tracking one down. Any help would be appreciated. I need the RH axle. The part # is MB620958.

Axles from a 1G AWD manual DSM work if you don't have a front LSD in your car. A while back, I got a cheap, crappy whitebox replacement for the passenger's side axle on my Evo - it fit, but wore out quickly with autocross usage. I went with some Rock Auto axles that DSMers seem to like to replace them but haven't installed them yet - search 93/94 AWD on their site. If you have a front limited slip, you're going to have a tougher time.

Hmm interesting. I'll give it a shot. I don't think Evo 1's came with a front lsd.

What year is yours?

STM tuning offers axles for the CE9A but they say they only fit evo 2 and 3. I wonder why that is.

My Evo 1 came with a front LSD. PM me your serial number and I can tell you if your car came from the factory with it.
I think DSS classed those axles as Evo 2/3 to match the rear axle selections they have, which are specific to Evo 2/3. The Evo 1 GSR had a different rear LSD than the Evo 1 RS and Evo 2+, so the rear axles are definitely different between Evo 1 GSR and Evo 2/3. The front axles are the same for all Evo 1-3.
