Endangered Species!

I am afraid that our Evos have been on the endangered list for a while now and from what I have been seeing and reading. It is only going to get worse. If you have one of these fine specimens keep it safe but once in a while take it out from hiding and share it with the world.

Agreed! The numbers of the evolution 8/9 are falling drastically. It must be one of the most crashed cars when comparing to other high end Japanese imports. This is largely due to to being such an underrated platform for so long, falling into the hands of careless owners many with not enough funds to keep them in shape or being cut up/crashed in rally/tracked and other racing events. Production numbers for the 8/9 worldwide would be hard to pinpoint. My guess is it was (similar to the r32 gtr) around 45000 units worldwide. I think its safe to say that number is around half by now. Expect the usdm supply to fall even faster. Many buyers around the world are turning to the states since it still seems to have some of the cheapest evos in existence.

I saw quite a few Evo's on stancenation's IG page last night *cringe*. Jk, what owners do with their cars is none of my business. But I do agree, my car sits in the garage most of the time, and every so often gets to see the world. Not because I want to keep the miles low or anything, but because it has some quirks that would make daily driving a pain.

When your car insurance doubles at no fault of yours, you know there something wrong. I was reading some random posts here yesterday and one is still stuck in my mind. "That these cars BEG to be modified" I couldn't disagree more... at these point these car BEG to be left alone. They BEG to be saved.

Stancenation?? Sweet God I didn't even knew that was a trend... I had to Googled it LMAO. It looks like I too need to get out a little more often. A couple weeks ago I was researching double din installs for our cars I have to say after watching a few videos on YouTube there were a few tears 😢 in my eyes. The only thing that I could think was FU**** BUCHERS. If I ever have the time I might make a post with my install sorry no videos out of me. There is nothing you can do to make those quirks to go away?

Can honestly say that I have not driven my car in almost 6 years no fault of my own. Really want to drive and enjoy it but I just get the ****ing run around on when it's going to be finished. Going to be hard-driving a car that makes 800 hp and making half of what my other car makes lol but there are not a lot of Evo's in my area so that part is nice. hopefully will get it back before the end of the year.

6years why? If you don't mind me asking who is doing the build for you? There used to be a few Evo's around me but they seem to have disappeared? It has been a few years since I have seen one cruising around!

Second hand evo's in Au are now asking over $60k, meaning then only people who can afford them are cashed up older guys, you dont see many of them at track days anymore. Theyre out there cause you'll see one in the traffic every few weeks when you least expect it. I take mine out early in the morning on weekends and it's home by 10.00 before the old cars traffic cruisers and crazy overtakers hit the roads. Enthusiasts hopefully will keep them going,
