Hi All,

I am fitting an EVO I 4G63 into a project car and need to convert the gearbox from AWD to FWD and do away with the transfer case.

Can you help me out or point me in the right direction for either a FWD conversion kit or a suitable FWD gearbox to use for my project.

Back in my DSM days there was talk on the forums concerning a gearbox that did this. I think it was a JDM part.

 

Will the FWD Gearbox from a '95 Eclipse/Talon 4G63T bolt up and run on the EVO 1-3 4G63T ?

 

Yes, the Evo 1-3 engine is functionally the same as any other 7-bolt 4G63 for your purposes.
