I watched this auction wanting to bid/buy. I remember this car when I bought my first Evo VIII brand new... I really do feel like this car was a time capsule of an era. What stopped me wasn't the lack of originality that seems to drive low mileage GD STi's and Evo 8/9 pricing through the roof; it was the simple fact that it lacked that bit of "street-ability" to make it legal on the road where I live. It won't surprise me if I look back a few years from now and think: at that price it was a steal. Very cool car in my opinion.

I love seeing early 2000s modified "time capsule" cars because that was the age I was when I really started to get into cars and such as a whole.
But under no circumstances would I actually want to own one and deal with the ancient tuning methods of the time.
