Turns out they should have sprayed the other side of the sheetmetal after welding in cage reinforcement. The underside is otherwise pretty clean, ouch.

The ralliart cluster is worth 2500 alone..not saying the car isn't kinda a mess, because it is and I personally wouldn't go near it but no car prices make any sense these days. I mean skyline gtt's selling for up to 20k? The world has gone nuts there's like a million of those. Scroll through BaT and have a laugh at what people are spending so much on. Id rather have this apexi evo with pretty cool history than a skyline, or a porsche or most other cars people are paying 6 figures for.

I have a feeling the car is going to go just over $40,000. Laugh all you want, but the car has history and pedigree, it stands out among the thousands of modified Evos.
I have the SCC issue that it's in, and I think I remember seeing it in an Evo shootout around 2005 as well. People recognize this car and associate it with happier times, that's why it's going to sell.
this is a weird one for sure. i feel like the kiddies that really want it, can't afford it, and the adults that can afford it and are in the market, won't want it. i imagine it will be someone who will part it out or convert it to something more desirable...
I don't think there is a market for this car to go for more than $25-30,000, at best.
unless this ends up being another one of those weird, magical BAT results that seem far too good to be true.
