Essential Parts
Essential Parts
Currently piecing together my Evo VIII Build and am trying to figure out how to allocate my cash. Seems like a lot of aesthetic bits are starting to become discontinued. Recently purchased a JDM Valve Cover as a precautionary measure. Trying to source a reasonably priced JDM Rear Bumper Cover now too. Really wish I would’ve jumped on a New OEM Front but missed that window. Long story short, what are some of the things an Evo Owner should jump on before it’s too late? Sorry if this thread is in the wrong spot.
Anything evo 8/9 that is still available. These parts are sure to be discontinued in the very near future. I bought several floor mats since the prices for those are practically a steal and will sky rocket once no longer available. Grab evo ix front/rear bumpers while you still can, emblems, oem air dams, usdm ix tail lights/headlights, good call on the valve cover. Interior goodies such as black momo steering wheel (discontinues a long time ago I think? cf ebrake handle, cf dash trim ect..all soon to be rare valuables.

It kind of blows my mind that Mitsubishi doesn't continue to make these parts. As these cars continue to age parts will eventually need to be replaced. There is a demand for them. Otherwise, stuff wouldn't be selling out. All we can do at this point is hope the aftermarket steps in and helps fill in the gap on stuff we are missing.

@jarretpcurry If you're trying to get an OEM JDM rear, check out your local dealership. I got mine for about $750 after taxes, no shipping charge. You'll need a truck to haul it home though.
