Can anybody recommend a place here in the US to purchase a new replacement plastic back for the front Recaro seats? My driver side seat back is broken (from leaning on the bolster too much) and I need a new one. Capital Seating in UK sells new backs here: https://www.capitalseating.co.uk/rec...tyle-trendline but they want $175 just to ship it to the US.

Hi, I was unable to find one in the USA or Canada. They are just not sold in the USA some sort of license agreement with Mitsu and Recaro. I ordered from Capital Seating. It arrived in good shape they are a competent business. A little strange to order you need to contact them and set up a special order. I checked a few online Mitsu sites and they didn't have anything even at $2500 per complete seat back. You will need to transfer small plastic parts from old seat back to new. The new seat back had a 2021 mfg code on it. So they are still made. I have not made the swap yet. Shipping is as you say, I asked for Fedex and did not have to pay any duties but the shipment was held briefly at customs.
