What would you do?

Hi everyone. Long time member. I just have been inactive and I forgot my password to my old account. My previous name was mydnyte93.

Any how, I had an 06 GG MR which I stupidly sold about 2.5 years ago. It was stock. The guy that bought it from me out on an intake and a blow off valve and sold it. I guess he flipped it.

About a week ago I saw my old car for sale. In the 2.5 one 2500? Miles were put on the car. And the new owner decided to put a tomei wxhaust. However the car was not taken care of. It was left out in the elements and paint is faded. Interior is in good condition.

with that said would you guys but that evo back? It’s like seeing an old girlfriend and wanting her back lol

this was my old car

Thanks in advance.

For the right price sure why not. But if it’s not taken care of then it could be pretty beat on and you might end up regretting buying it back then just like you did selling it. In decent condition other than the paint go for it.

What would I do? I will evaluate my own financial situation and how much I have saved in the bank. If I have the financial muscles, I would buy her back and have the Evo fully restored. If I don't, I would take a nature relaxation therapy to be mentally content with a very humble daily driver.

I have been in a similar situation. It has cost me more than 20 thousand dollars after the harsh pandemic years to have my Evo X restored to mechanically sound conditions. (There are still a few interior rattles, but like whatever, lol.)

I would definitely buy it back! You said you regret that sold it. Come on, it’s your baby and if you still love it - do it. It’s not too late yet. Or there’s a chance that it’ll end up in someone’s hands who’d beat it up to death and never take care of it.
It’s just my humble opinion
