I have a 2003 bby gsr, recently i took off the lower column cover and column assembly in order to tighten the steering column. Once i reassembled everything and went to start the car I have no power at the key/ Ignition switch. i cant roll up the windows and i cant start the car. The gauge cluster has no power at all. Surprisingly the following things still work... horn/dome light/ headlights/ remote keyless entry. I tried replacing the ignition switch and that did not solve the issue. Any Insite or tips would be much appreciated.

 

It was a blown 40amp ignition fuse in the engine bay fuse panel.
replaced and car now runs.

 

how did you blow that fuse?
