maybe you can spray lacquer thinner, that would be cheaper (WD doesnt smell flammable tho). buy bulk C-fold paper towels from samsclub i also have a couple of trash can lids under the car to catch most of the cleaners/water(i use only my tire sprayer)

I was about to post this in the WDYDTYET thread this evening, but here we are . TBH if I was doing this again, I'd probably just power wash it as best as possible and paint over it like you did haha.

@Matt, I can't wait to see how the dry ice does!

basically all i was able to remove by hand with sanding and a paint scraper.

corded ftw, hilariously no one stocks corded on the shelfs near me only m12/m18s. I tried my m12, didn't have nearly enough ugga.

single pass on this, and it's down to metal. I'll probably go thru a few more discs cleaning the rest of this off as best as possible before busting out the chemicals. hopefully some degreaser will tear thru the small bits that remain.
I'm going down to the Dryce Lab on Tuesday the 1st. We will bring the cameras.

Noticed you guys didn't follow the correct brake bleeding procedure that I commented on your last video (before the most recent one posted today). The JDM rear bumper diffuser OEM color is eisen gray A02, not gloss black lol

Here's a wiper delete that isn't garbage https://jdcustomsusa.com/products/jd...-8-9-universal

All ACD lights on? Take that burner bar out, the front centermember. Surprised you cut them factory bolts down to fit. F them hood struts.

Car is coming along well Sir.
It will be interesting to see what exhaust system you prefer once the car makes some power.
I’ve had a Tomei system on my car for a decade . It sounds good and it’s light. If /when you upgrade the turbo you may want to go to an FP Manifold . Being a log manifold it’s going to sound better .
An fp green mhi would work really well for street duty on a non mivec 2.0. Near factory spool up but absolutely blow the stock turbo away from 5000-8000 on pump or other fuels. Possible downside for you but the FP line makes a lot of turbo /air sound .
Some basic turbo information and whp on pump gas( dynojet numbers) . It’s not all about the peak power , you want something that spools up well and goes proud to 8000.
stock 8 turbo 320whp
stock 9 turbo 350whp
Hta 71 375whp
18k 390whp
stock compressor housing above.
larger compressor housing below ( less surge and better flow)
green 400whp
red 430-450whp
black 450whp +

I like the forced performance line. It’s proven and has great transient response . Modern compressor and turbine wheels . The green/red/black turbo you may want to gently port the wastegate housing so that it makes less boost and it’s more pump gas friendly with an 18psi actuator.

I personally think the stock 8/9 turbo is too responsive and tapers hard up top.

Hopefully you have the ACD issue figured out. Did you consider an ACD reflash once it’s working?

I do. It has 5,600 miles on it. I have two Lotus Emiras and a GT4 RS coming, so I'll be selling it soon. I don't have room for it to stay.

Ruined a 1900 mile evo for YouTube views just to sell it off. Why didn’t you buy one with 30k +

I was gonna buy it but the gm upped the price on me last second. Oh well

I have an Emira and two evos (8 RS and 10). Same same but different lol. I still think you should keep the evo!
