Hello! Excited for my first post, hopefully I gain some traction to get some questions I have answered!
I recently purchased a 2003 Outlander that has been Airtrek swapped. It ran terribly, the engine harness was awful, and needed a couple supporting mods/maintenance to make it a reliable daily and to make power in the near future. So far, I've replaced the Airtrek intake manifold with an evo 8 intake manifold and fuel rail, ran -8 feed/return fuel lines, added an Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, fixed the rat's nest wiring that was on my passenger floor, dialed in idle/cruise, and changed the timing belt/added HKS 272 cams/Kiggly springs & retainers.
It came with an AEM V1, and I think I've gotten pretty good at dialing it in. Idles and cruises pretty close to stoich now. My only gripe so far is the brakes on this thing suck! Looking at AMS' EVOlander back in 2007, he said he used Evo knuckles to fit the evo front/rear Brembos. So that's my goal! I do have some questions concerning what all is required to make these bad boys fit.
Will Evo knuckles bolt up to the 03 outlander rear trailing arms? I've been looking for 05 Outlander rear trailing arms, because those come with disc brakes from factory. But if I can avoid the expenses of finding used 05 trailing arms/rotors/calipers since I want brembo rears anyways, I'd like to know before doing all that legwork if Evo knuckles will bolt to my current 03 trailing arms.
Please help! I'd like to get this disc brake swap going as soon as possible so I can start sourcing parts! Thanks in advance!
