Belt tensioner broke

Belt tensioner broke


I was trying to change my alternator so when i went to turn the Belt tensioner with my 1/2 drive, a piece of it broke off, I will put a picture down below how should i go about getting this fixed, Thanks

Remove and replace the tensioner. It's really the only option to fix it.

I keep one as backup. I have broken a tensioner putting in a new belt

Unbolt it from the block out, put new one on call it a day. Being it's broke you don't have to loosen the tension .

my experience with the fan belt is whenever i replace any pulley it will start squealing(unbearably loud) . thats why I got the belt from autozone rather than online
