Cluster bulbs

So half my bulbs in my cluster are out and looking at replacing them with LED. There’s threads on the board with some who have converted but do not list a bulb size or base size. Others have kits that seem to be overly priced where oem bulbs are roughly the same. Anyone that has done the bulb and base swap have a bulb guide?

I’ve seen the kit and I’m not the person to take everything apart to convert but also not the guy that’s spending $200+ on leds

I’ve tried four sets of T5 bulbs and bases from Amazon and nothing has fit as of yet. I’ll report back if I find something that works.

I got this kit from jd customs and they do look waaaay better. . 1 thing though, you’ll want to use a normal bulb on the SRS light because the LED was feeding
extra voltage to trick the car into illuminating the SRS warning.

so your SRS light stays lit? Does function for all icons work as they should?

You own an evo but cant spend $200 on something you want? Youre in the wrong hobby/own the wrong car lol. I got the led backboard kit and from xtuners. Was well worth it. If it's anything I've learned being in the car scene for over 10 years it's that you get what you pay for. There's always a conciquence to the cheap solution.

I amnot in the wrong hobby, but I have a lot of expensive hobbies. Overpaying for led light bulbs is not one of them. There are a few YouTube videos and a few places that sell the dash lights but don’t list the type or size. The kit you bought and the jd kit are not the only option which is what I posted this post for.

I bought a few Neo wedge T5 and regular T5 sockets and bulbs and they are a tight fit but it works.
