Hey guys,

I'm currently shopping for an upper and lower radiator hose for my 1998 Evo 5 GSR. I'm in the U.S. and was wondering if any of the hoses from an Evo 8/9 are compatible. TIA.

 

I just ordered OEM Evo 5 models from Amayama. Took a bit to arrive, but inexpensive and previous ones lasted for nearly 30 years...

 

I run an evo 6 radiator in my 8. The upper hose is a 6 and the lower is an 8. I’m unsure if the lower on a 4/5/6 is different but if it is the same, any parts store should have it. The upper is pretty straight on a 4/5/6 so you can find something at the parts store as well.

 

Thanks for your replies guys. My lower radiator hose started leaking a few days ago. I saw that shipping from Amayama might take 2 weeks. I guess I'll take a shot on the Evo 8 hose to get by with until the one from Amayama arrives.

 

Have you found a solution to it? Is the problem completely solved now?

I had that problem too on my Evo V build. During a separate project using https://www.urlaunched.com/services/...pment-services, I noticed Mishimoto EVO 4–6 hoses fit better overall. Small mods worked for USDM ones, but not always clean.
