Hi! I am rebuilding my engine bay and trying to make as clean as possible. I now have some problem with the Power steering hose. Has anybody changed this to something more Nice? Maby re-routed it ? Send some pictures or come with some ideas 🙏

I havnt had that in mind. How do i get electric power steering?

 

Dow the rabbit hole you go! Somewhere around here there should be a write up on power steering swap, I don't recall exactly which pump but think it's a VW unit and like a beefier alternator?

I couldn't find the write up on this forum but the volvo pump is very widely used for this kind of setup so there are loads of write ups around for how to wire it and such.

 

I try to wrap every line with that mesh/flexible braiding

Thank you guys for responding! I think i will try to build something in stainless Steel and modify it to look good. I think its to big project to change to electronic PS

 

If you are going that route, any local hydraulic shop can make up power steering lines if you want. So it you find a routing that you like, they can crimp one together for you.
Forklift mechanic shops can also do it, depends on the place if they will or won't though.

 

I put the technafit STM line in and made my pump loud as hell

 

yeah I've heard that some has problem with this. I wonder why ?

 

Something tells me it's a higher pressure. I want to swap back to stock if I can find a nice pressure line.
