I recently installed a Quaife LSD into the front transfer case and mounted it onto the transmission. I wanted to fill the T case and Transmission with fluid to see if there is any leaks.
I was wondering if I could fill up the Trans and the T case and spin them to see if it would leak, or would I need to take it for a drive.
My front subframe is currently out and I wanted to know if I could find a leak before installing everything else back on so I wouldnt have to remove everything else again if a leak is present.
Thanks

if you use RTV on the small o-ring then it wont leak there. especially if you get a really thick o-ring too.
I also put RV on the big o-ring for LSD cover. TRE also uses RTV on the axle seals so I do also

Thanks for the suggestion.
I also wanted to know if I could just fill up the t case + trans and spin them to see if it would leak.
Or is the only way to actually drive the car to see if it leaks or not. I would rather find out now with the subframe out than to find out when its all back together

That wont do much good, but its good to keep things clean and dry and check the next day, especially for the ACD fittings if you have it
