My oil cooler feed line is leaking where it connects to the cooler and I replaced the seals with ones I found at a hydraulic shop that looked similar to the OEM version - 18mm - its like a washer/seal combo. Still kept leaking. I also tried gasket maker on the thread but no luck.
After a while I noticed a tiny hairline crack on the housing to where the banjo bolt goes in, it seems at some point it was overtightened which caused it to crack. I attached a pic with a squiggly line to show where the crack is. - this is not my cooler but a pic I just found online cuz the crack is so tiny its hard to get a pic of.
Anything I can do about this? Rather not buy a new cooler if I don't have to.. I suppose there is also a chance the seals I got weren't up to par.
I'd go with a new cooler - if an attempted repair busts loose...oil pressure will be quick to zero. The proper seals are available from Mitsu last time I bought some.
