OUCH why you need to go 5spd that 6 spd **** don't last. I'm surprised TRE didn't tell you that. At least they didn't find what they found on my car lol. Go look.
Might be a little noisier but should be stronger. They don't give a torque rating but the OEM torque rating is anyway way lower. Excited to see how it does. Honestly the gear held up for about 30k miles, ton of track days and abuse, and only broke with the super low RPM 4th gear pull and loaded it up and blew it out (won't ever be in 4th gear in low RPM to boost up).
That said, I don't have hugely high hopes. Even if the 4th gear is much stronger I think there are design issues that TRE doesn't like about it, something about how the keys and synchros were set up - BUT, if this does hold up, for people like me that are "only" making 400whp, this might be a good way to go. I love the snick-snick of the factory 6spd.

i just think it's funny people started liking elon just because of politics. i've hated him since the cybertruck launch event in 2019, the dude is such a ****ing tool lmao. tried to show the windows were bulletproof by having some guy throw a metal ball at the window, only to have the windows take a massive crack lmao. should have focused more on making the cars fireproof. tsla is tanking not because of anti-elon, but pro-oil moves by the current administration, reversal/softening of epa requirements of manufacturers, paired with a decreasing like of electric cars by most american consumers. Ive never been an electric car guy, but if I had to pick an electric car right now, I think the ioniq 5n is pretty damn good and in some ways I see it as a spiritual successor to the evo.

UPDATE. Confirming for anyone ordering into Canada. Yupp you will be charged tariffs everything coming in no matter what. Even if the item was not manufactured in the USA they don't care. Nothing got through without them from 5 different sellers across 5 separate states. Pure stupidity. I was even charged 25 percent on top of regular taxes on a $200 item. Out of the roughly 5k in total I was charged nearly 2k in import charges.

I will support whoever can provide/supply what I need. The US is a great supplier, manufacture and carrier of quality goods and they deserve to be rewarded for that. I'm not going to "support and buy Canadian" just because abunch of paper pushing bureaucrats tell me to. They sunk our production and economy by being super dependant, shut down production and entrepreneurs through greedy tax collecting/permits/licensing to do anything. The downfall of Canada is nobodies fault but our own.

Yea this was at least my experience so just heads up for anyone wondering in the future who may be unsure. You can take a chance and might get lucky but it seems pretty certain to me. The only thing got through tax free was abunch of discontinued silicon sard hoses which shipped with usps. It seems anything shipped with the big ones (UPS, Fedex, dhl ect..) are going to get it the worst but thats just my guess. Its seems pretty arbitrary from their end.
