Hello all, my evo 8 won't keep running, it starts and after about 5 seconds it cuts out every time. I'm pulling what hair I have left out ,any help appreciated ,Thanks

Also, have you verified fuel pressure? Plugs and coils? Timing? Any mods done?

 

sounds like the cam sensor, should be easily checked with evo scan

 

Car doesn't pop /bang or anything like that, it will start ok , for a few seconds.
new timing kit fitted .
There is a small fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail , but in the few seconds it runs , the gauge doesn't register anything.( Just got the oem regulater at the moment)
I have a small autell scanner , but not showing anything, and no engine management light on.
Car is 2.3 stroker
