108k miles owner said it has sat the last 4 years and may need new lifters

super hard to say from the pictures shown and especially with the little "it's been sitting, may need lifters".

To me, this leans towards bad bearings and they are setting it up for the noise to be the "lifters". Combo that with the rebuilt title, and it would likely be a pass from me unless I was looking to build a dedicated drag/track car. And even then, 18k seems steep.

It depends who you’re asking. Do you know your way around these cars? Familiar with fixing/building engines? 18k is not much these days at all. I think people need to start lowering their expectations it’s just not realistic to think you’ll spend only 25k and hop into an older evo trouble free. Those days are long passed and if you don’t buy the car someone else will. So my vote is yea.
