i just installed my perrin downpipe. though i guess it's not the best brand but i personally think it works well . the take off is very smooth let me know what u think about perrin. o yeah i forgot to mention how much horse power have i gain just a down pipe on my evo 8. also does it really matter what brand when it comes to down pipes?

 

Hi there, I recently installed a HKS downpipe and I feel that the acceleration is smoother compared to the stock dp. Now the acceleration feels like an NA car all the way to the redline. IMHO, more predictability. What counts more is the way that the dp is bent (mandrel), if there are any kinks, the type of welding (TIG) and what material is made of (SS304) - the more renowned and established brands will have such criteria already.

 

i definently agree about the downpipe. i knew it wasn't just me. from 1-3rpm definetly feels the smooth diffrents. an then of course turbo kicks in just another question do u have filter like aftermarket on urs . because that was the next thing i wanted to put in . so pretty much a downpipe and aem intake is what i plan to only do. i know that putting on the intake will make the bv sound a bit louder . any one else can help me out. what will the intake actually do and how many horses will it give?? thanks
