Honestly, just sit back and think guys, Mitsubishi is still tied in with Chrysler, in some sort of way, plus Mitsubishi dosen't just sell cars, they sell computer products, industrial machines, big screen TV's (walk into Circuit City or Best Buy), and I think they are still number one in the world in building cargo ships. I do think Mitsubishi North America is recovering from a combination of a price dip from over sponsering "2 Fast 2 Furious" (shouldv'e seen my dealership), unvieling their flagship car the Evloution, and other models, and this brand new redesigning of their current models. I'm quite sure Chevrolet will feel the same with their "American REVolution" campaign.
To sum it up Mitsubishi will be around, the Evolution will hold its value (just like the VR4) and I'm quite sure the rest of the world are trying to sell over priced Evolution's I to VII.

it sold for 50g's and now you can get 98-99 for 16000
I took my STi to Carmax of White Marsh and they rated it in excellent condition, requiring minimal reconditioning. The car is stock w/ 6k miles. They offered me $26k. Another Carmax had an STi w/ 10k miles listed for $29,998, which has subsequently sold. I asked why such a low value, especially when I knew they would ask $30k for it. He said the other STi was priced too high and the market was questionable. Whatever??? I didn't trade it in.
BTW, they had a BBY Evo w/ 16k miles listed for $26,998.

yeah, i laugh at all these guys that say they can get a new Evo for less than $26K... blah, blah blah...
you know Carmax is going to turn around and sell that thing for at least $27K... they aren't in the business to help you out... they are there to make money...
