2003 evo 112500 miles what is it worth

Hello. Recently purchased this 03 with 112500 miles Tarmac black in good condition. I put a new radiator, clutch, plugs and upstream o2 sensor on it but its just not for me. I got an offer from carmax for $9000.00 and at that price I will still make money on the car. I put it on Craigslist but you know how that goes a bunch of idiots wanting to give you nothing and have you finance it for them. The car does have some door dings and scratches in a lot of places but no sheet metal is damaged or anything else. Interior is pretty good no rips or anything like that just normal wear. Everything works but not sure I feel like holding out if I am only going to get a little more than carmax is offering. Any advice would be great.

Thanks
Tim

IMO you could sell it fast on craigslist for 11k or wait it out and possibly squeeze 14k out of it assuming it is in perfect condition nothing wrong with it at all. It just depends how long youre willing to wait.

for you it's a win win since you will make a profit even with 9k.

Damn 9k is low! You got a steal if 9k makes you money! Good luck with sale!

$9000 doesn't seem out of the park for Carmax, although if you just do the easy research of comparing NADA to KBB, KBB is closer to the $14k mark for private party. Have you had the vehicle inspected? Fluids changed? How are the tires and brakes? You said a new clutch, what kind? Care to post the VIN?

If it were me, I'd hold out for a while and see if you could squeeze another few thousand out of it if all of the above checks out, be sure to list the specifics if you put it on Craigslist and see what happens! Worst case, like you said, you take it to Carmax and you still make money.

if I was ready to buy right now, I'd give you 12 or 13k in a SECOND! don't take 9k for it, somebody will come along...
