There is NO benifit to paying more for a 3inch exhaust than one from MR. All 3 inch exhausts flow pretty much the same, all make the same power. The quality of MR exhausts is the envy of many other manufacturers that charge way more money. YOu see, its not that MR is selling cheap, its that they sell at the price that it should be sold at. They make a profit and are happy with it, were as top notch companies like to screw you over for insane profit margins. Here comes along a company that charges less and everyone panics and says "no way can they compare to HKS, Buschur, Greddy". Well, they do and then some.

I've been screaming this since I first joined the board, but all the mislead JDM cronies keep replying "you get what you pay for". If that were truly the case in the import world, your parts would be delivered by two beautiful live in ******.

...Because it gets the job done just as well (if not better... weight) closer to the price we should be paying for a length of pipe and a muffler.

I don't see how you think BR is as expensive as greddy or hks. The BR catback is is around 450. I also see on MR's website it says theirs is 459 for a catback. I'm sure you can get it cheaper somewhere else but still.

Nother against MR or BR but I'd rather have some support by a well known company if I'm going to spend that kind of money. There have to be differences in the exhaust performance wise... maybe nothing drastic but still.. weight and flow vary.

With that said I do think Greddy and HKS are way overpriced but people like the "Name" so as long as people are buying...

Well just to throw this in. The RMR catback is $600 and the quality BLOWS. I've had mine for less than a year and under 13,000 miles and it already had 2 big cracks. I drove 2 hours to get to them so they can fix it at the time THEY specified and they told me to go home and come back later. I had the exhaust off my car already too. They said if i have anyone else fix it they will void its warrenty. I told them to screw themselved and took it to my local muffler shop who FIXED IT FOR FREE IN 30 SECONDS! RMR SUCKS!

i'm sure Buschur has better customer service than HKS or Greddy, because HKS and Greddy rely on other companies to move their products... thats just how it is...

BUT when you buy from HKS or Greddy you know that they spent enough R&D that nothing's gonna rust and fall off the car.. not taking anything away from Buschur though, i like them too

I have an MR downpipe and the DSM dudes that work on my Evo $h!t their pants when they saw it. They said that has to be one of the nicest DPs they've seen. They said the welds were top notch.

You get what you pay for is BS. I've spent my whole life getting better quality for less. Why the f$#@ does everyone think that if it ain't JDM it's worthless? While the rest of the freaks go around spending triple so they can have "quality" I go a head put that money in my retirement account.

The rest of you who took a chance, bravo.

this is how i feel... just because the HKS DP is twice as expensiveas megan racing DP, doesnt mean the HKS is twice as good... BUT the HKS is definetly better quality then DP... so as for people saying "you get what you pay for"... it still holds true....

My MR downpipe rubs against the oil pan and the flex section also comes into contact w/ the tranny or engine. However, lancer shop does provide superior customer service and I don't blame them for the inferior quality.

My MR 3" Turbo back fit's perfect, it clears everything is made out of the T304 Polished SS and Tig welded @ all joints. You will not find a better exhaust for the money. The power increase is great, it pulls fast and strong up to redline.

With the flex section in the DP, I'm sure it is "heavy", but I don't know about the cat back.
