Spec-C v. MR

Alright, if this has been posted... I apologize.

Anyone have any direct comparisons of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec-C v. the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR?

EVO magazine in 12/03 compared the Evo FQ-300 v the Spec-C during their eCOTY and had the Spec-C not only beat the Evo, but hailed it the people's champion.... (the 3 people's champs v. the exotics got a little sticky with respect to outcome with the 911 Turbo coming out on top).

No, you nailed it on the head, the only comparison was with the FQ. We are still awaiting an MR VS. Spec C battle though, should be very very soon.

What is the difference with the Spec C over the regular STi? All I can find is a different suspension setup.

2.0 liters instead of the new 2.5 block, same if not a bit more power (I think it's about 320), better suspension, stripped trunk, gay little wing on the back, that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Yeah, that's what I know as well... although the wing on the EVO eCOTY test looks like kind of a transformer wing. Plus, I think it has underbody aerodynamic changes as well.

I believe the Spec C has always been the beast. No matter the Evo, the Spec C seems to come out on top (even in Best Motoring, IIRC).
