Anyone heard of Esurance Insurance Co?

I went online to insurance.com, and got a price quote for insurance. The cheapest one was from this one company called Esurance - has anyone had any experience with them?

Just wanted to get some info before signing up with them (in case they are a sketchy insurance co), though they say they've been around for over 100 years...

Anybody?

my brother has them on his 97 tahoe......no problems yet, about 1 year. BUT....he has never needed them, yet.

you dont really know how well an insurance company is untill you get involved in a wreck.

there rates ARE GREAT!! but, like i said, no collision experience yet.....

I will be going with the same insurance company in a month when it's time for me to renew. I am just tired of paying 200 bux a month with progressive. I have a clean record too!! With Esurance I will only be paying $124 per month. Much better.

my initial quote from esurance was nice and low, but when it came time for the final quote they had jacked it up by $400 per 6 months.

I used them back in '02, and I wrecked my '02 GT in the ice. They took THREE MONTHS to declare it a totalled car, I went all that time with them telling me they had authorized to repair it. Their claim service was a joke to work with, and the inspector who they sent out was so large he refused to sit on the ground to see the underside of the car where a lot of the damage was.

Regardless, they paid up and had a low rate. I would probably still be using them if they hadn't left the state of Indiana (they no longer offer coverage here).

Wow, that doesn't sound too good at all. Is the low rate worth all that hassle? What if it was just a rear end? Would it take them 3 months to do that as well?

I had them and paid $460 every 6 months, then they changed their underwriter and it went up to $620 every 6 months. So I went to Mercury.

I live near LA and am 26
