i love a car with sunroof so now i know the mr wont have one

so what would ya'll do go for an mr or just buy the 04 evo with leather and sunroof

i dont care the extra power from the mr but i would like to konw how much better will the

car handle? cuz i dont want to void my warrenty if i upgrade the suspension

 

Go with the MR and get an aftermarket sunroof!!!!!

well from i heard the roof is all alum so they want to keep the reg of the chassie and there wont be a sunroof

this is the only thing holding me back on the mr

just buy a used 03' and with the money you save you can get yourself a nice set of recaros in leather. i know of a nice black one with about 4600miles that is cleaner than a new car and has sunroof and also evo7 tails and ams catback. you can get that car for 26.5k and save some money

 

Then comes in the issue or concern of breaking into the engine yourself. I'm sure that's gotta be a concern for people buying used cars. Or just feeling uneasy cuz of the fact that the car was actually preowned not knowing how the previous driver treated the car.

 

i will put my money down on the fact that the car i am talking about and even my own car have been broken into better than your normal 17 year old kid would and also, the car in question is owned by an **** retentive bastard who barly drives his car and lickes it at least twice a day

I would get a new 04 evo, screw the MR, you can save the money from not buying it and get plenty of aftermarket parts for your normal evo and still beat the MR. That's my plan, as much as I like the MR, it's just not worth it...not to mention the maintainance costs of ACD and AYC.

Get an 03, the dealer I got mine from still has two that has been sitting in the showroom floor since Oct of 03.

 

Am I missing something here? Most people who wants a MR would not want a sunroof since they are more performance oriented. I mean think about it. went thru all the trouble to bring an aluminum roof just to drop a few pounds on top and some of you people want to add the weight back up where it counts In general for the sunroof fans why would you want to pay the extra 3-4 grand on a MR versus a standrad version? I'd bet you can't feel that the MR is faster on the streets.

I assume if your a track enthusist you'd appreciated the larger oil cooler, larger titanium turbos, 6-speed on fast tracks, and electronic diffs and not the sunroof.

What mitsubishi should do is to provide a RS MR with no a/c, and abs with 1year/ unlimited mile race safe warrentee.

Shock should not void warrentee. Its a wear and tear part like an air filter. I'm so sick of hearing warrentee void, reason "abuse". Driving hard is not abuse on a "sports car" since it is designed to be driven fast. Driving hard on an econmony car is. If i get a luxuary car how do you expect owners to drive? If i get a ferrari how do you expect owner to drive? Now some trashie car dealer should realize if the car is high performance and their engineers can't design a part to last why blame the owners? What I do consider abuse is put the car in reverse while driving foward. If the car is driven like it's meant to be driven even testing it to match the manufacture performance claims should not void warrantee! Most high end car manufactures will not even attemp this scam because customers will chew them up in court with their lawers and manufacture like mitsubishi/subaru is taking advantage of owners because they do not have this option due to a lower income. My point is that if can't back up their warrentee claims please provide a weaker warrentee (6month/24000mile) or something so car nuts can have the idea how strong the car is made.
