hate those ****ing altezza lights.

I sincerly hope they are not thinking about marketing this thing as a fast and furious type of vehicle instead of a rally type vehicle

Question Thicker bumper

Is it just me or does the bumper seem thicker on the white car than on the current VII?
It may be a visual distortion, but it also seem to have a larger front hangover.

Yeah I see what you are talking about... It looks like the front bumper is pushed outwards a bit and the bottom of the bumper sets inside of that. They may have done that to push the front intercooler back further so that it would fall under US bumper laws or whatchamacallit. Maybe.

Also please no altezza's!!!

Thanks for the post . I hope those altezzas don't happen. Speaking on behalf of anyone who has ever owned a they should've really spent the "extra" money that those lights cost on something to bring up the quality of the car (i.e. clutch, crank bearings, etc.)

Oof - one of the things they are rumourmongering in that article is the upcoming price - 3.8 million yen. Let's hope that stays just a rumour, that's a *big*jump in price.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

Oy. that's ~$32,000USD... meaning it would be nigh impossible to get something resembling a JDM Evo8 for under 30k overseas, if it were true. There must be some concern that DaimlerChrysler's plan to pull Mitsu out of their financial problems will involve selling the Evo at a more "reasonable" (i.e. profitable) price.

As posted in another thread, it further says that the Evo 8 with electronic front differential will be priced at 3.8 Million yen.

Remember with the evo 7 they charged 25k at most in japan and charge 37500 US equivelent in Europe so if they move the price up 7000 dollars from the 7to the 8 then ours will probly be around 37000 dollars and europe around 43000.

Honestly I doubt they would ever do that but its what the numbers say.
