San Rafael Mitsu - Big Thumbs UP
San Rafael Mitsu - Big Thumbs UP
Just wanted to pass along that I've received consistently excellent customer service from the parts Manager at S.R. Mitsu.
The guy's name is Mike and he has competitive prices, especially for a dealership.
The most recent thing I bought are those brake cooling air guides that bolt onto the front control arms. I was skeptical at first, but someone on this forum said they really helped with brake dust, so I decided to try a set.
I shopped around with various vendors, but all of them either had a busy line, or just didn't answer the phone.
Mike had them in one day and has always given me great deals since I found their number on this forum. I've purchased a few other items from them as well, even had to return one high-dollar item. I was treated with perfect customer service the entire time, so I just wanted to pass along the news, as they've certainly earned it.
The brake cooling guides take just a few minutes to bolt on (I followed the instructions to the letter and had no problems at all) and then I washed the car and filled the gas tank. After driving through a whole tank of gas this weekend, the front wheels are the exact same as the rears.
Normally the dust would be quite thick for the front wheels only and start caking up in a couple more days, so it's evident that these things make a huge difference as far as airflow to the rotors. I looked from top-down during the installtion, with the wheel off, and the ducts aim right into the center of the rotor, where the fresh air is picked up.
Hopefully the new, slotted, "Pillar Vane" BrakePro's rotors (that I also installed) last longer as a result. These parts would be worth the money just for the brake dust, but adding performance is more important. I can't say that I've had a fade issue (the factory brakes are pretty damn good) and that these corrected that, but I'm sure that when I hit my first track day I'll be happy I have these.

If we both work together and pull hard enough, we just might be able to pull your head out of your ***!
I got them for *significantly* less than I expected.
