I've been looking long and hard for a set of 272's for a decent price and found them at Alamo Autosports, about an hour from my house in Dallas. I called up, and sure enough, they said they had one set left, took my name and number, and said they'd have them ready when i got there the next day.

I arrived at the shop, which is an hour away from my house, and asked for the cams, and some stupid, really stupid, looking guy behind the desk says "oh yeah, we screwed up, all we have is 264's, u want some of them?"

I was so pissed i didn't even know what to say, so i just said a few things and left.

It would've been one thing, had they not had my name or number, but they did and they just rejected to call. Thanks guys, i love wasting $2.09 gas to drive out to your shop for something that u didn't have.

Avoid Alamo Autosports guys, A few of their employees have told me stories about taking some of the cars out after hours and racing the hell out of them. What shocked me the most was, who the hell tells that to a potential customer? I really don't want to hear how u took out a few of the cars whooped up on some cobras. Great....

Two questions:

If you are in Dallas, I just want to make sure you are a member of N-TEC and if not, WHY??

And second, why not just use ImSport in Lewisville? Goody guys and good prices.

I hear you man. I dont entrust my work to be done, except Im chosing shop close to me. (Guys in Central Jersey that need stuff done, look up Straight Line Performance, GREAT people I've heard). I like to stand there and watch. I run a tire shop myself, so I know watching is aggravating, but at least I know whats going on. But, when a dumbass works somewhere, theres little you can do.

 

I've never let alamo touch the car, i do all my work at a place called Wasabi.

well i have nothing but the best of service....from alamo...and i know all of the employees there....and have never heard of them taking "customer" cars out and racing them....maybe there personal cars...but not customer cars....well to each there own.....people seem to always talk a little **** on alamo....but for a place that has been around for over 10 years....and still is going strong...they have to be doing something right....

 

One of the employees told me about "borrowing" a supra for the night and racing it. Who cares though, i'm sure alot of you guys have had great service, i'm just not very trusting, especially since i'm new to the import car scene.

I think it was you who i met. I remember a black evo, and a guy with a black WRX with a FMIC with a NX ntercooler. I was with a japanese guy named Jeff, out at the target car meet thing in lewisville. Sound familiar maybe?

Shoot, when is the North Texas Evo owners club meet again? First Wednesday of everymonth? I signed up but have had a lot of crazp happen to me in the past 2 weeks. I want to meet some of you guys!!
