I was thinkig if I keep my Evo I would like to put a BMW M5 style lip on my wingless Evo like this.

Did you try the M5 or the M3 lip? I had a M3 lip on my Audi S4. They are plastice so it can be heated to fit the profile of the trunk. I was going to measure mine as soon as the car gets here. Or you can get the http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=2187 lip spoiler. I will let you know if the BMwnur fits next week.

 

The lancer trunk is 49" long. The m3 lip is only 47" long. I actually bought one, I test fitted it and looked ok to me (non pointed). After painting it I decided not to stick it on. It looked too stupid being too short. It looks totally different after it is painted.

I found one that is 48 3/4" long and will be testing fitting it when I finally get the right part.

Hmmmm, it's funny I never really think too much about the appearance aspect of my car, but I'm intrigued by losing the giant wing and getting a lip spoiler now. That bulletproof one would be cool, but $429 is more than I want to spend.

Thanks for the idea, maybe I can find a used one or something. I'd like to have more of a sleeper look without the big wing.

but now I am thinking I will keep it and just buy a beater car for work, now I will get into the mods even further

 

look at the m-style lip made for a mercedes benz c-class. The measurements seem to be the same as our trunk length. Just an idea.

 

RMR makes a CF lip for the wing - it might work for the trunk...

 

My father has an E39 M5 and the trunk lengths were nearly the same. I measured it out and if you got the E39 M5 lip spoiler it should be the correct length, but not necessarily the right curve. I had thought about doing this as well.
