i was wondering about this the other day and did some searches but didn't come up with a whole lot of hard facts. I assume they are a part of HKS, but I'm not really sure how they are connected. Everyone seems to like their parts. Other than their exterior add-on's and a few carbon fiber pieces here and there, I haven't really seen much on the vendor's websites from them. Hopefully someone can fill us in on what the difference between HKS and HKS Kansai Service.

As far as I know HKS kansai does some follow up R&D on the parts HKS makes and is basically a valuable asset in product development and improvement. I think its also a service company, where people bring their cars to have HKS parts installed and get the cars serviced.

They are not HKS Japan. They are a seperate company the have a longstanding relationship with the founders of HKS. So naturaly they use alot of HKS parts on their cars. The do design many of ther own Kansai parts and create many Kansai project cars.

They are known for great service, testing and record keeping for their clients cars.

I read in an SCC article about 2 years ago. There specialty is building dependable and fast cars that are fully backed by a Kansai warranty. I remember the founder saying we dont build 1000hp skylines that last a month, we buil 600-800hp skylines that will last ten years. I'll try to find the article.

I agree with you. Kansai is not HKS, but only a tuner that has very close business relationship with HKS. I found this out when I spoke to the representitives at TAS.

HKS Kansai is in Nara, not far from my place...they specialise alot in Evo as you may have notice and the cars they tune I would say get featured more thenm HKS Japan themselves. HKS Kansai do indeed have their own range of goods, mufflers, front pipe, turbo kits etc...

You best check out their website on what they have to offer, yes they do have a front and rear tower bar to fit E7/8. Any reason why you choose a HKS one over say a Cusco one or another brand as HKS are quite expensive but not necessarily better? Though Cusco have yet to realised any for the E7/8, but shouldn't be too long.

I only have a Cusco front tower bar on mine, as I like the rear to bite abit and I find it tends to pick up the inside tire in corners, but this all depends on your driving style and suspension setup.

Just like HKS Tokyo and HKS Hokkaido and HKS Kyushu.

They are all tuners and affliated with HKS, all service centers are strategically located to service customers around Japan. However HKS Kansai are the only ones who have their own product range.
